Stanovsky
STANOVSKY combines piano chords with electronic sounds to create an avant-garde pop design of catchy radiance, contrasts this with unique German lyrics and only exists at all because Peter Stanovsky no longer just wanted to write for others, but finally wanted to make music again that he could really embody.
His songs combine musical fragility and a lyrical sophistication that you don't often hear in German. References are difficult to name, the use of language peculiarly unique, the images in the songs momentary and illustrative. "Of course I have lyricists I like: Grönemeyer of course, Max Herre, Lina Maly, Judith Holofernes, Peter Fox, Trettmann,- but I also celebrate a band like Isolation Berlin. I write lyrics in German, I like that the language is not an issue then, that there is no limiting factor, everything is direct and immediate."
